The concept behind the image relates to the fact some reviewers consider the Death Stranding game boring, "like watching paint dry". However, what if the paint being watched came from the unique mind of an artist like Salvador Dali. The experience of waiting for the paint to dry would be very different and unique, much like the game. The image was created automatically by inputting the phrase "death stranding painted by Salvador Dali" into the A.I. algorithm. Midjourney then created multiple variations of the image, which can be refined. Viewed on a large screen it is amazing how human the brush strokes look. I enjoyed the link between the A.I. used to create the image and the unique dystopian future realised by Hideo Kojima in the game.
